We dealt with a wave of scam emails earlier in the Fall. Someone had taken the time to grab my photo from LinkedIn, setup a free gmail account and reach out to many of our customers with a fairly professional sounding request offering their services. The main clue to this scam was their email was “contact.omnionline@gmail.com” and didn’t match our website. All of our email communication will come from emails that end in “@omnionline.net”.
We do legitimately reach out from time to time with suggestions for upgrades, improvements, and recommendations to your website.
We don’t send surprise bills or put tight timelines on required work we’re charging for.
We also do accept a variety of payment methods but will clearly communicate with you directly on how to do that, and wouldn’t suggest an alternative method that sounds sketchy especially if there’s a time crunch.
Bottom line – We may reach out from “@omnionline.net” emails.
We may even have suggestions for upgrades or improvements to your site.
We wont pressure you into a quick payment using online links for random upgrades and we’re ALWAYS happy to talk on the phone at our office line if you’re the least bit concerned about your site or an invoice.
Stay safe, and if you got an email from “something-something-Omnionline@gmail.com” (there’s been a few variations) please do not click any links, delete it and report is as spam.
If you’re interested in web upgrades call the office or submit through our contact form on the web. We’d love to help. Don’t give that money to scammers. 🙂
