Business Partner. Mentor. Friend.
It is with our deepest condolences and heartfelt thoughts to his surviving wife and daughter that Omnilogic Systems Inc. announces the death of our founding partner, business associate, mentor and friend, Curtis Materi.
Curtis started Omnilogic Systems Inc. more than 22 years ago, and had stepped away from the company in 2011 to spend more time with family and to focus on his battle with cancer.
He was moved to Palliative Care last week, and passed away this morning.
Curtis had retired from the operations of the company, but his mark has been left indelibly here.
He was a long time business associate and friend to the remaining Partners, helping to steadily and painstakingly grow Omnilogic Systems Inc. He also set the course for nearly all of our operations on the Web Design side, guiding us through our infancy in 2009, mentoring the staff as the company grew, and turning over the helm in 2011 as he retired from work to face his fight with cancer.
It was an incredible adjustment not having him around the office, and we had a challenging time fulfilling his various operational roles when he retired. It was a rare and welcome occasion when he was well enough to come by the office to say hello.
Though we are glad he is no longer suffering, we recognize the terrible loss to his family and friends as we feel it starkly ourselves.
We will miss him.
The Partners and Staff of Omnilogic Systems Inc.
