As part of a major rebrand, we built cmlpsk.ca to be a clear, trustworthy hub for Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) and the public in Saskatchewan.
The site’s structure is action-oriented: the main navigation points users directly to what they need—licensing, complaints, resources, and the public register. For professionals, renewal deadlines, continuing education requirements, and fee details are easy to find, while applicants—both local graduates and internationally educated—get step-by-step guidance on how to qualify, what to submit, and when. For the public, the searchable register and complaints process are front and center, reinforcing transparency and accountability.
Behind the scenes, the build emphasized accessibility, performance, and governance. Pages are lightweight and cached for speed, PDFs are compressed and tagged for accessibility, and the register is optimized for mobile since most lookups happen on phones. Editors have a workflow that ensures policy changes are reviewed before publishing, and announcements automatically expire after event dates so outdated info doesn’t linger.
The site’s design philosophy was simple: make compliance painless for members, provide clarity for applicants, and ensure the public can verify professionals quickly and confidently.
